WHY WISBYS

The Wisbys Standard

Wisbys was built from years of personal collecting experience and a clear understanding of what buyers need in order to feel comfortable spending money on memorabilia.

Too often, collectors are asked to rely on weak ‘authenticity’, vague descriptions, poor presentation, inconsistent paperwork, or sellers who are difficult to assess properly.

Whether you are buying for yourself or someone else, clarity around policies, processes and item provenance should be non-negotiable.

Our approach is designed to eliminate uncertainty and give buyers a clearer, more dependable experience from the outset.

How We Source & Verify Our Items

Selective Sourcing :

We focus on reputable dealers, established collectors, auctions, consignors, and other trusted routes. We are more interested in confidence and quality than simply increasing stock volume.

Recognised authentication, not generic paperwork :

We prioritise recognised third-party authentication and reputable certificates of authenticity rather than generic paperwork that offers little real reassurance to a buyer.

Checks that go beyond “certificate included” :

Where certification is provided, we check that the documentation properly aligns with the item being sold. A certificate is only useful if it genuinely matches the piece.

Standards before sales :

If something lacks credibility, raises unnecessary questions, or falls below the standard we expect, we walk away. Long-term trust matters more than short-term sales.

How We List & Sell

Collector-led approach :

We only list items we would be happy to own ourselves. If we would not be comfortable displaying it, gifting it, or adding it to our own collection, we should not be selling it.

Clear, evidence-led listings :

We aim to show the details that matter, not just a flattering main image. Where relevant, that includes close-ups of signatures, holograms, serials, framing, and key aspects of condition.

Honest condition transparency :

If there are notable marks, wear, imperfections, or presentation issues, we aim to make that clear. Buyers should know what they are receiving before they purchase.

Standards before sales :

If something lacks credibility, raises unnecessary questions, or falls below the standard we expect, we don't list it. Long-term trust matters more than short-term sales.

Buyer Protection: What If Something Goes Wrong?

Clear customer friendly policies:

We keep our key policies easy to find and easy to understand, including delivery, returns, privacy, and the practical steps to follow if something needs attention.

Careful packaging and reputable shipping:

Items are packed carefully to help reduce risk in transit, especially higher-value or framed pieces. We use reputable shipping providers, insurance and appropriate protection for the item type.

Local options where available:

For buyers in the UAE, most items can be seen in person and available for local collection or delivery. This can reduce some of the delay, costs, and risks that often comes with international shipping.

Questions are encouraged:

If you want more detail, more photographs, or more clarity before buying, ask. We would always rather help you make the right decision up front than have you buy with uncertainty.
